The V-Gard hard hats by MSA are protective head gear that meets and/or exceeds all of the applicable requirements for a Type I helmet for top impact; the guidelines are outlined in the ANSI Z89.1-2003, Class E and G. These hard hats are great for applications such as welding, construction, sand blasting, agriculture, electric utility, spray painting, and nuclear environments. The shell of this head protection is made from a polyethylene and has a suspension that works with it in order to provide maximum protection. There is a four point webbed suspension that is used for comfort along with a large knob for easy adjustment. The dual nylon crown straps and the vinyl sweatband wipe clean easily.
